Babbage LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Cargo application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our App. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1) Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Photo Data: With your explicit permission, we may request access to your device’s camera and photo library to allow drivers to capture images of packages during deliveries on behalf of our customers. These photos are owned by our customers and are used solely for delivery verification and record-keeping purposes. We do not claim ownership of these photos.

  • Authentication Data: We generate and store a JSON Web Token (JWT) on your device to maintain your secure login session as a driver for our customer companies.

  • Device Information: We may collect device identifiers and operating system details to optimize App performance, but this data is anonymized and not linked to you personally.

2) How We Use Your Information

  • Photo data is used exclusively for delivery verification and record-keeping as directed by our customers. Photos are not shared with third parties unless required by the customer or applicable law.

  • The JWT is used to authenticate your sessions and ensure secure access to the App’s features.

  • Device information helps us improve App stability and performance.

3) How We Store and Protect Your Information

  • Photo Data: Photos are uploaded to our servers and stored on behalf of our customers for [e.g., "30 days" or "as long as required by the customer"] for delivery records, after which they are deleted unless otherwise instructed. Access is restricted to authorized personnel and customers.

  • JWT Storage: The JWT is securely stored on your device using iOS Keychain (on Apple devices) to prevent unauthorized access.

  • We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, but no method is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

4) Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Photos and related data are shared only with the customer company employing you as a driver or as required by law. We may use third-party service providers (e.g., cloud storage) under strict confidentiality agreements to support this process.

5) Your Choices and Rights

  • You can revoke camera and photo access at any time via your device settings (e.g., iOS Settings > Privacy > Photos/Camera).

  • Logging out of the App will invalidate and remove the JWT from your device.

  • As a driver, your data handling is governed by your employer’s policies. For questions or to request access, correction, or deletion of data, contact us at support@babbagellc.io or your employer’s designated privacy officer, subject to legal limitations.

6) Children’s Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or our website. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance.

8) Account Deletion

If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, you can:

  • Use the “Delete Account” option under Settings.

  • Mail us at pedro.santos@babbagellc.io in case you are not able to access your account.
